Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

Springfield, Mass. — On Tuesday December 21st at approximately 9:00 a.m. officers responded to the Berkshire Bank on Harrison Avenue for a report of a robbery.  The suspect, later identified as Markell Fullwood, implied that he had a gun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A short time later Detectives located the suspect on city cameras in the area of Union Station.  This information was relayed to officers and Fullwood was located inside Union Station with the cash on him.

On December 15th at approximately 11:45 a.m. the Santander Bank on Sumner Avenue was robbed where a weapon was implied and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.   A Springfield Police Detective Bureau investigation under the direction of Captain Trent Duda led to the positive identification of Fullwood as the suspect in that robbery as well.  Detectives will be requesting a warrant to be issued for additional charges against Fullwood.
