Cadets, Recruits Ready to Begin the Springfield Police Academy

Springfield, Mass. — Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood congratulated some of our Springfield Police Cadets on their final day before heading to the Springfield Police Academy to begin their six month training to become a Springfield Police Officer.  Commissioner Clapprood began her career in the Springfield Police Department as a Cadet herself.

On Monday more than 40 recruits will begin their training at the Paul J. Fenton Public Safety Complex under the direction of Captain David Kane.

If you are interested in becoming a Springfield Police Officer the deadline to sign up for the next Civil Service Exam is January 18th.
