FIU Detectives Seize High Capacity Ghost Gun after Executing Search Warrant

Springfield, Mass. — On Saturday January 8th at approximately 11:10 p.m. members of the Firearms Investigation Unit under the direction of Lt. Brian Beliveau arrested 18 year old Davey Quinones and recovered a loaded high capacity Ghost Gun and an additional magazine after executing a search warrant at a home on Cloverdale Street.

Detectives had been investigating Quinones as a suspect for the illegal possession of a firearm for several weeks and applied for and were granted a search warrant for his home.

While conducting surveillance of the home Saturday night Detectives observed what appeared and sounded like a gunshot from the area of the home.

Detectives then executed the search warrant of the home.  Inside the home Detectives recovered a loaded high capacity Ghost Gun, an additional magazine and a single shell casing.  Detectives placed Quinones under arrest.  The other occupants of the home were released.

18 year old Davey Quinones of Springfield is charged with:

  • Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card
  • Possession of a High Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device
  • Improper Storage of A Large Capacity Firearm
  • Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Building
  • Possession of Ammunition without a FID Card
