Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, Retired Massachusetts State Police Colonel Kerry Gilpin and Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi are continuing their holiday tradition of helping feed those in need this holiday season. This year Mayor Sarno is joining with these law enforcement leaders as they will distribute turkeys, hams, canned goods and other surprises, while supplies last.
Community members in need are encouraged to come to this event for assistance with their holiday meal. For families in need of a meal, when you arrive at 299 Page Boulevard Springfield Police Officers will guide you to the distribution point. Please do not arrive early as this will create traffic issues and the driver will be asked to come back between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
