Springfield, Mass. —On behalf of the Springfield Police Department, Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood extends her condolenences to the Massachusetts State Police and family of Trooper Tamar Bucci who was killed when her cruiser was struck by a tanker truck on I-93 late Thursday.
We had a moment of silence at Friday’s promotional ceremony to honor her sacrifice. Police Superintendent Clapprood reached out to Colonel Mason to offer any support during this difficult time. If public services are held the SPD will send a contingent of officers.
