Moose Lodge Donation to go towards Protective Vest for K9 Flexx

Springfield, Mass. —  Members of Chicopee Falls Moose Lodge 1849 made a $500 donation to Friends of SOLO Foundation that will go towards obtaining a ballistic vest for the Springfield Police Department’s newest K9, K9 Flexx.  K9 Officer Eric Blair, K9 Flexx and Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood  were joined by Moose Lodge Executive Director Mark Canty and member Bob Hupfer at the Springfield Police Training Facility on Page Boulevard for the check presentation.

“As an avid supporter of our K9 Unit, I am thankful for the donation by the Moose Lodge who have always been a strong supporter of law enforcement.  This donation will help obtain a ballistic vest for 2 year old Flexx to keep him safe and protected when he encounters dangerous situations,” said Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood.
