More than 100 Citations Issued during High Visibility Traffic Enforcement Friday on Parker Street

Springfield, Mass. — On Friday December 3rd members of the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Unit, Ordinance Unit and C3 Units along with the Massachusetts State Police conducted high visibility traffic enforcement on the Parker Street corridor.  This combined effort resulted in 103 citations and five criminal complaints being issued.  The majority of the tickets were for speeding and violating the hands-free cell phone law.

This was the third high visibility enforcement effort in the past three weeks.  More than 250 citations have been issued.  The previous high visibility enforcement efforts took place on State Street and Boston Road.
