Shooting Suspect Arrested after Detective Bureau Investigation

Springfield, Mass. — On Thursday May 12th at approximately 8:45 a.m. members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit under the direction of Captain Brian Keenan, Springfield Warrant Apprehension Officers, Massachusetts State Police VFAS, United States Marshals Task Force and Hampden County Sheriff’s Department arrested 29-year-old Victor Aytche on the 800 block of Roosevelt Avenue on a warrant for firearms charges.

On May 4th, Springfield Police Detectives under the direction of Captain Trent Duda began investigating a shooting that took place on Westford Circle.  During the incident a car was shot.  Detectives identified Aytche as a suspect, requested and were granted a warrant for his arrest.

29-year-old Victor Aytche of Springfield is charged with:

  • Arrest Warrant
    – Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
    – Carrying a Firearm without a License
    – Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling
    – Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle
    – Assault with a Dangerous Weapn
