On Friday September 10th at approximately 5:55 p.m. members of the Firearms Investigation Unit seized a sawed-off shotgun and arrested 44 year old Armani Lopez.
Detectives in the Firearms Investigation Unit have been conducting an investigation over the past week with Mr. Lopez as the suspect. On Friday Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for his home on Acushnet Avenue. Detectives executed the warrant, detained Mr. Lopez, and recovered the shotgun and additional ammunition.
44 year old Armani Lopez of Springfield is charged with:
• Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun
• Improper Storage of a Firearm
• Possession of a Ammunition without a FID Card
• Firearm Violation with 1 Prior Violent/Drug Crime
• Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
