Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Friday officers responded to the McDonald’s Drive-Thru on the 2300 block of Main Street for a gun call. A victim was involved in a verbal altercation with a man, later identified as Michael Centeno. During the dispute, the victim alleged that Centeno implied he had a gun.

When officers investigated they observed a firearm sticking out from under the driver’s seat of Centeno’s car. The firearm was loaded and illegally possessed. Officers also recovered 11 oxycodone pills from Mr. Centeno.

33 year old Michael Centeno of Springfield is charged with:

• Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License

• Carrying a Firearm without a License

• Assault with a Dangerous Weapon

• Possession of a Class E Drug
