SPD Remembers Detective William Perisco

Springfield, Mass. — The Springfield Police Department would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of retired Springfield Police Detective William Persico.  Officer Persico was shot in the line of duty in 1971 and would retire soon after.  Before his time with the Springfield Police Department, he served in the United States Navy.  Persico passed away earlier this month at the age of 88.
