Springfield Police Detectives and Officers Arrest Two Suspects after an Armed Bank Robbery Saturday morning

Springfield, Mass. — At approximately 9:15 a.m. Saturday April 9th Springfield Police Officers responded to the TD Bank on the 500 block of Sumner Avenue for an armed robbery.  A teller informed officers a suspect handed over a note demanding money and implying that he had a gun.  The suspect, later identified as Edward Rosso, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Crime Analysts in the Springfield Police Department’s Real-Time Analysis Center (R-TAC) reviewed video and relayed information to officers that a second suspect, later identified as Aaron Hadley, was acting as a lookout.

Detectives and officers canvassed the area and were able to locate Rosso on the 400 block of Sumner Avenue.  Rosso was detained and evidence was located in his pocket.

Detectives and officers then located Hadley in the same area.  After a Detective Bureau investigation both suspects were placed under arrest.
