Springfield Police Officers Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect
Springfield, Mass. — On Friday November 19th at approximately 8:30 p.m. Springfield Police Officers and a Massachusetts State Police Sergeant arrested 29 year old Michael McGarry and charged him with Armed Robbery and Attempt to Commit a Crime.
Around 7:30 p.m. that evening officers responded to the Dunkin Donuts on the 800 block of Main Street for an armed robbery. Employees stated a suspect entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded money. The victims got away unharmed and the suspect was not able to take anything from the store.
A short time later officers located the truck the suspect was in and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Michael McGarry, was positively identified. Officers also recovered a knife.
