Springfield Police Officers Arrest Suspect after Victims Struck by BB Gun

Springfield, Mass. — On Sunday August 7th at approximately 10:00 p.m. Springfield Police Officers arrested 32-year-old Paul Burbul Jr. at the intersection of Orange and Oakland Streets after he allegedly shot multiple people with a BB Gun.

Around 9:10 p.m. officers responded to the 800 block of Dickinson Streets for a report of shots fired.  During a disturbance Burbul Jr. is alleged to have exited a vehicle and began shooting a BB Gun at a group of people.  Two victims were struck and were later treated on scene.  A vehicle was also struck.  Burbul Jr. was placed under arrest.

32-year-old Paul Burbul Jr. of Springfield is charged with:

  • Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (2 Counts)
  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (5 Counts)
  • Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle
