SPD Congratulates Long-Serving Officers on their Retirements
Springfield, Mass. — The Springfield Police Department would like to wish Sgt. James Mazza and Officer and Mark Templeman a happy and healthy retirement.
Sgt. Mazza served the city of Springfield for 29 years spending significant time as the SPD liaison to a federal task force. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2017 and most recently supervised members of the Firearms Investigation Unit.
Officer Mark Templeman joined the Springfield Police Department in 1995, serving the city for 27 years. Templeman spent 17 in the Narcotics Bureau and Firearms Investigation Unit.
Sgt. Mazza and Officer Templeman retired on Tuesday.
