SPD Officers Seize Loaded Firearm
Springfield, Mass. — On Monday September 9th at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Springfield Police C3 Unit along with Squad “C” Officers seized a loaded firearm and arrested 18-year-old Charlie Acevedo.
About fifteen minutes earlier, officers responded to the 100 block of Maple Street for a gun call. A subject, later identified as Acevedo, allegedly had a firearm outside a convenience store. Officers arrived, located Acevedo and recovered the loaded firearm.
Officers placed Acevedo under arrest.
18-year-old Charlie Acevedo of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
