Donation to “Nestor Santos Recovery & Support Fund”

Springfield, Mass. — On Thursday at the weekly C3 North End meeting, the Jose Claudio from the New North Citizens Council on behalf of 90 Meat Outlet & Latino Foods Distributors on Avocado Street, Latino Counseling Center on Dwight Street, Puerta Del Cielo Funeral Home and Cremations on State Street and Carew Street and Springfield Pharmacy at 2547 Main Street presented a check to Springfield Police Superintendent Lawrence Akers for $8500*** for Officer Nestor Santos.

We thank each and every organization and business who made this donation!

Officer Nestor Santos was shot in the face and leg on June 5th.  He has had one surgery, and Doctors were able to save his eye, but he will lose his vision in one eye. During the incident, seven suspects were arrested, and seven illegal firearms were recovered.
