Loaded Large-Capacity Firearm Seized after Traffic Stop
Springfield, Mass. — On Friday November 22nd at approximately 9:10 p.m., Springfield Police Officers seized a loaded large capacity firearm and arrested three suspects on the 0-100 block of Carlisle Street.
Around 8:50 p.m., officers were on patrol when they saw a vehicle without a front license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop as the car parked on Carlisle Street. The vehicle also was not registered or insured and had excessive tint. Officers searched the vehicle since it was going to be towed and located a loaded firearm lodged next to the center console. The firearm was loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition.
All three occupants of the vehicle were placed under arrest.
21-year-old Jordan Perez of Springfield is charged with:

20-year-old Mohamud Ali of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Large Capacity Firearm on a Public Way
- Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device
- Number Plate Violation
- Unregistered Motor Vehicle
- Uninsured Motor Vehicle
- Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Window Obstructed/Non-Transparent
22-year-old Jailyn Cassel of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Large Capacity Firearm on a Public Way
- Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device
