Springfield, MassOn Thursday December 22nd Springfield Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood along with members of the Springfield Police Department, partner at Comprehensive Investigations and Consulting and retired Colonel of the Massachusetts State Police Kerry Gilpin and Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi continued their tradition of helping feed those in need this holiday season.  For the second year in a row Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with these law enforcement leaders as they distributed turkeys, canned goods and toys at the Springfield Police Training Facility located at 299 Page Boulevard during a drive-thru event.  Big Y made a generous food donation and the Greater Springfield Credit Union is provided toys for children.

In total more than 100 families in our community received holiday meals and toys on Thursday.  We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Safe & Happy Holiday Season!
