Retired K9 Mr. Warner Continues to Provide Training for Nero’s Law

Springfield, Mass. — Despite his retirement, retired K9 Mr. Warner continues to serve his community in a voluntary capacity. During February and March, K9 Mr. Warner provided training on Nero’s Law to more than 276 members of the AMR (American Medical Response) Springfield staff.

AMR staff received proper training from Mr. Warner and his handler as well as Veterinarian Annie B. Custer to transfer and care for injured police dogs.

Having retired in December 2021, Mr. Warner has completed numerous Nero Law training courses and hopes to continue to assist with the training of all medical personnel who may care for his fellow K9 colleagues.

In recognition of his assistance, AMR staff presented him and his handler with awards. We would like to thank AMR of Springfield and its employees for organizing and participating in the training. In addition, we would like to thank Superintendent Clapprood for her continued support of Nero’s Law, as well as the Springfield Police Department and Mayor Sarno for their continued support.
