SPD Detectives Arrest Armed-Carjacking Suspect in Las Vegas

Springfield, Mass. — On Friday August 23rd, a Springfield Police Detective along with a Massachusetts Police Trooper arrested 22-year-old David Clark at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.

Clark was transported back to Springfield Police Headquarters where he was booked and processed.

Clark had six outstanding warrants from Springfield and Palmer District Courts.

Springfield Police Detectives under the direction of Captain Trent Duda applied for and were granted an arrest warrant from Clark’s alleged role in an armed carjacking in Springfield.  This incident happened in May of 2023 in the area of Merrimac Avenue and Nottingham Street.  Clark is alleged to have had a gun during the incident in which a motorcycle was stolen during a carjacking.

    – Reckless Operation of a Snow/Recreational Vehicle
    – Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle

    – False ID Information
