SPD FIU Detectives Seize Ghost Gun, Drugs
Springfield, Mass. — In the afternoon of Wednesday May 29th, members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit (FIU) under the direction of Sgt. Edward Kalish seized a large-capacity Ghost Gun, cocaine, crack-cocaine and heroin in connection with an illegal drug and firearm investigation.
FIU Detectives have been investigating Raycha Mojica-Robles for the illegal distribution of crack-cocaine and the illegal possession of a firearm. Due to the investigation, Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for her apartment on the 600 block of Union Street and her vehicle.
On Wednesday afternoon Detectives observed Mojica-Robles in her vehicle on the 600 block of Union Street and they conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Union Street and Eastern Avenue. Detectives recovered a large-capacity Ghost Gun from inside the car. Detectives then executed the search warrant at her apartment and seized approximately 10.7 grams of powder and crack-cocaine, 20 bags of heroin and nearly $2800 in cash. Detectives placed Mojica-Robles under arrest.
32-year-old Raycha Mojica-Robles of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Large Capacity Firearm without a License
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug (Two Counts)
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Three Counts)
- Drug Violation Near School/Park
