SPD Officers Recover Loaded Firearm after Traffic Stop 

Springfield, Mass. — At approximately 11:55 p.m. Wednesday October 26th officers responded to the 500 block of Dickinson Street for a ShotSpotter activation and an additional ShotSpotter activation on Commonwealth Avenue.   As officers arrived they observed a car driving without its lights on, on Commonwealth Ave.  The vehicle was unregistered and uninsured.  Officers then conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Sumner Avenue.

The driver, identified as Sandra Sepulveda and passenger identified as Takwon Graham were asked to step out of the car so it could be towed.  Officers then recovered a loaded firearm under the passenger seat.  Both suspects were placed under arrest.

22-year-old Takwon Graham of Springfield is charged with:

  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card

27-year-old Sandra Sepulveda of Springfield is charged with:

  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card
  • Uninsured Motor Vehicle
  • Unregistered Motor Vehicle
  • No Inspection Sticker
  • Motor Vehicle Lights Violation
