SPD Ordinance Unit & Code Enforcement Conduct Park and Walk Sweep

Springfield, Mass. — On Wednesday March 12th, the Springfield Police Ordinance Unit and members of the Department of Code Enforcement conducted a quality-of-life park and walk sweep in the area of Commonwealth Avenue.

The Springfield Police issued 69 ordinance citations, three parking tickets and towed an unregistered vehicle.  Members of Code Enforcement issued 36 citations.  The Springfield Police Ordinance Unit also assisted with a Zoning inspection that was taking place in the area.
