SPD Remembers Officer Carl Rolf
Springfield, Mass. — Today we remember Springfield Police Officer Carl Rolf.
On November 2, 1938, Officer Rolf was shot and killed as he and other officers raided a local hangout.
Another officer was critically wounded, and the suspect was shot and killed.
Officer Rolf had served with the Springfield Police Department for 16 years.
He was 41 years old.
