Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit Receives Legal Updates
Springfield, Mass. — The Springfield Police Department’s Firearms Investigation Unit is spending the day at the Springfield Police Training Facility on Page Boulevard getting the latest Massachusetts legal updates from Attorney John Scheft.
The Firearms Investigation Unit under the direction of Captain Brian Keenan has seized more than 120 illegal firearms in 2023. These annual legal updates help the FIU during their investigations. It also helps increase the likelihood the suspects they arrest are held accountable in court.
