Springfield Police & Massachusetts State Police Arrest Five Men during Undercover “Anti-John” Operation

Springfield, Mass. — On Thursday February 15th members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit under the direction of Captain Brian Keenan and Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit under the direction of State Police Sergeant Peter Hurkett, assisted by members the Massachusetts State Police Hampden County Detective Unit and Hampden County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni’s Office arrested five men during an “Anti-John” undercover operation at an area Springfield Hotel.

During the operation members of Law Enforcement would pose as online escorts in which individuals would offer money or something of value in return for a sexual act(s) inside a designated hotel room.  This operation is a continuation of the joint efforts between the Springfield Police, Massachusetts State Police & Hampden District Attorney’s Office to reduce the demand of commercial sexual exploitation in the city.

From approximately 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. five “John’s” came to the designated hotel room and were subsequently placed under arrest for purchasing prostitution.

29-year-old Frank Fay of Westfield is charged with:

  • Pay for Sexual Conduct

43-year-old Myrick White of Springfield is charged with:

  • Pay for Sexual Conduct
  • Possession of a Class B Drug

34-year-old Edwin Rivera of Chicopee is charged with:

  • Pay for Sexual Conduct
