Springfield Police Officers Seize Loaded Firearm after Responding to a Gun Call
Springfield, Mass. — On Wednesday September 13th at approximately 10:55 p.m., Springfield Police Officers seized a loaded firearm and arrested 45-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez-Diaz on the 0-100 of High Street.
A short time earlier officers responded to High Street for a gun call. A victim stated that an individual, later identified as Rodriguez-Diaz, brandished a firearm while he was attempting to make a food delivery. The victim was able to leave the area unharmed.
Officers located Rodriguez-Diaz who matched the description of the suspect and recovered an illegal loaded firearm in his pocket. Officers placed Rodriguez-Diaz under arrest.
45-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez-Diaz of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number during the Commission of a Felony
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Default Warrant
– Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License
