SPD FIU Detectives Seize Loaded Large Capacity Ghost Gun
Springfield, Mass. — On Friday December 2nd at approximately 1:15 p.m. Springfield Police Detectives assigned to the Firearms Investigation Unit (FIU) seized a loaded large capacity Ghost Gun, recovered approximately 20 ounces of marijuana while arresting Jamari Patterson and Michael Bedinelli on the 100 block of Oakland Street.
After an investigation, Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Oakland Street of a car Bedinelli was driving and Patterson was the passenger in. An additional passenger was eventually released.
Detectives recovered a Ghost Gun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition and capable of holding 15 rounds from Patterson’s waistband. Detectives also seized marijuana and nearly $250 in cash.
22-year-old Jamari Patterson of Springfield is charged with:
- Carrying a Firearm without a License
- Carrying a Loaded Large Capacity Firearm on a Public Way
- Distribution of a Class D Drug
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class D Drug
23-year-old Michael Bedinelli of Springfield is charged with:
- Distribution of a Class D Drug
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class D Drug
