SPD Congratulates Detective Christopher Bates on his Retirement

Springfield Mass. — The Springfield Police Department congratulates Detective Christopher Bates on his retirement.

Detective Bates retired Thursday after serving the city of Springfield as a police officer for more than 29 years.

Detective Bates was a long-serving member of the United States Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force.
