SPD Remembers Officer Richard Vigneault
Springfield, Mass. — Today we remember Springfield Police Officer Richard Vigneault who was killed in the line of duty on April 11th, 1973. Officer Vigneault’s patrol car was struck head-on by a drunk driver.
Officer Vigneault had served with the Springfield Police Department for five years. He was survived by his wife and three children. He was just 32 years old. Badge #208
