On Monday August 9th around 5:00 a.m. officers responded to the intersection of Fargo & Almira Streets for a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Officers attempted to wake up a sleeping individual in the driver’s seat when they observed a loaded magazine for a firearm on the floor board.
Officers detained the lone individual in the car, identified as Apolinar Garcia, and recovered the magazine. Officers then recovered a firearm inside the car. Officers also recovered a bag of cocaine. Mr. Garcia was placed under arrest.
23 year old Apolinar Garcia of Springfield is charged with:
• Carrying a Firearm without a License
• Possession of a High Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device
• Possession of Ammunition without a FID Card
• Possession of a Class B Drug
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
