Springfield Police Officers Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Springfield, Mass. — On Saturday April 6th at approximately 8:15 p.m., Springfield Police Officers arrested 19-year-old Cyreah James in connection with an Armed Robbery at a convenience store on the 300 block of Main Street in Indian Orchard.

About ten minutes earlier, officers responded to that convenience store for a panic alarm.  When officers arrived, they detained James pending an investigation.  After reviewing video, it showed that James and three other individuals were inside the store and attempting to steal items.  James had a crowbar and swung and missed the store clerk.  As the two clerks are able to get the suspects out of the store, James uses the crowbar to smash the front glass door.  James was placed under arrest.

19-year-old Cyreah James of Springfield is charged with: 

  • Armed Assault to Rob
  • Malicious Destruction of Property More than $1200
  • Assault & Battery
