SPD Detective and Officers Arrest Suspect in Several B&E’s and Larcenies 

Springfield, Mass. — On Tuesday April 2nd at approximately 4:10 p.m. Springfield Police Officers and a Detective arrested 43-year-old Felix Vazquez near the intersection of Saratoga Street and Dwight Street Extension in connection with several breaking and entering’s and larcenies.

Vazquez is a suspect is several thefts in the Metro area of the city including but not limited to multiple construction sites, MGM, the Basketball Hall of Fame and the theft of an E-Bike.

After his arrest, Springfield Police Detectives under the direction of Captain Trent Duda applied for and executed a search warrant at his home on Central Street.  Numerous stolen items were recovered.

Springfield Police had applied for three arrest warrants for Vazquez and on April 2nd a Detective observed Vazquez on the Dwight Street Extension and placed him under arrest.  Vazquez was in possession of bolt cutters, pliers, masks and a file.

43-year-old Felix Vazquez of Springfield is charged with:

  • Breaking and Entering into a Building Nighttime for a Felony
  • Larceny Under $1200
  • Possession of a Burglarious Instrument
  • Arrest Warrant
    – Breaking and Entering into a Building Daytime for a Felony
    – Larceny under $1200
  • Arrest Warrant
    – Breaking and Entering into a Building Nighttime for a Felony
    – Larceny from a Building
  • Arrest Warrant
    – Armed & Masked Robbery (Three Counts)
