Four Suspects Arrested after Delivery Driver Robbed

Springfield, Mass. —  On Saturday December 11th at approximately 2:00 a.m. Springfield Police Officers arrested four suspects after a pizza delivery driver was robbed of cash.

Around 12:45 a.m. officers responded to Ainsworth Street for a report of an unarmed robbery.  The delivery driver stated he was assaulted and robbed on Vermont Street while attempting to drop off an order.  The victim did not need medical aide.

Shortly after officers located a suspect vehicle involved in the assault and conducted a traffic stop on the 700 block of Belmont Avenue.  The driver and three passengers were positively identified and placed under arrest.  Two of the suspects were juveniles, their names and charges will not be released.

24 year old Mario Santiago of Springfield is charged with:

  • Unarmed Robbery
  • Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle

18 year old Josiah Finlay of Springfield is charged with:

  • Unarmed Robbery
