At approximately 6:45 p.m. Wednesday members of the Firearms Investigation Unit under the direction of Sgt. Christopher Hitas seized a loaded large capacity firearm and crack-cocaine.
Firearms Investigation Unit Detectives received information that Tyheem Marable was in possession of a firearm. Detectives were also aware that Mr. Marable had three active arrest warrants. On Wednesday while conducting surveillance outside Mr. Marable home on the 600 block of State Street. Around 6:40 p.m. Detectives saw Mr. Marable leave the apartment building with a fanny pack around his chest while carrying a trash bag. As Detectives moved in to arrest Mr. Marable he began to run. He threw the trash bag and fanny pack before being taken into custody on Terrence Street.
Inside the fanny pack, Detectives recovered a loaded firearm with a 19 round magazine and nine rocks of crack-cocaine.
30 year old Tyheem Marable of Springfield is charged with:
• Carrying a Loaded Large Capacity Firearm on a Public Way
• Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
• Carrying a Firearm without a License
• Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm
• Firearm Violation with 3 Prior Violent/Drug Crimes
• Firearm Serial Number Defaced
• Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class B Drug
• Arrest Warrant
• Arrest Warrant
• Default Warrant

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
