Two Illegal Firearms, Trafficking Weight of Cocaine and Fentanyl Seized

Springfield, Mass. — At approximately 2:05 p.m. on Tuesday March 26th, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Springfield Resident Office seized two illegal firearms and trafficking weight of suspected Fentanyl and cocaine while arresting 24-year-old Noah Ryan of Springfield on the 1500 block of Springfield.

About an hour earlier Task Force Officers observed a suspected drug deal in a parking lot on the 100 block of Spring Street.  Task Force Officers then observed the suspect vehicle leave the area and conducted a traffic stop on the 1500 block of State Street.

The driver, later identified as Noah Ryan, was wearing a cross-body bag.  After further investigation, the cross-body bag had a Ghost Gun inside.  When the Ryan was searched, Task Force Officers located a second loaded firearm in his waistband.  Task Force Officers also recovered more than 128 grams of cocaine in the cross-body bag, more than 1000 bags of suspected Fentanyl and 33 rounds of ammunition as well as more than $5500 in cash.

24-year-old Noah Ryan of Springfield is charged with:

  • Carrying a Firearm without a License (Two Counts)
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License (Two Counts)
  • Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (Four Counts)
  • Trafficking a Class A Drug 18-36 Grams
  • Cocaine Trafficking 100-200 Grams
  • Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number (Two Counts)
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
