Machine Gun, Trafficking Weight of Cocaine, Heroin and Cash Seized during Joint Investigation and Search Warrant Executions Friday

Springfield, Mass. — On Friday March 1st, working jointly with members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit (FIU), members of the Massachusetts State Police CINRET West Unit executed a search warrant on the 900 block of Liberty Street after a lengthy drug investigation. This search warrant led to three arrests and the seizure of more than 150 grams of cocaine, a machine gun and a second firearm.

Working jointly with CINRET West, members of the Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit, Springfield Police Emergency Services Unit (ESU), Hampden County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Captain Brian Keenan executed search warrants at an apartment on the 100 block of Marion Street and 1500 block of Carew Street. This led to six arrests and the recovery of 182 bags of heroin, 184 capsules of cocaine (approximately 34 grams) and $4245 in cash.

At approximately 5:40 a.m., Vicente Solano, Johanna Melendez & Juan Reyes were arrested inside an apartment on the 100 block of Marion Street.

49-year-old Vicente Solano of Springfield is charged with:

36-year-old Johanna Melendez of Springfield is charged with:

47-year-old Juan Reyes of Springfield is charged with:

Cocaine Trafficking 18-36 Grams
Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law
Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class A Drug

At approximately 5:45 a.m., Alexander Hernandez, Anthony Santana-Merced & Rafael Febres Rivera were arrested inside a home on the 1500 block of Carew Street.

53-year-old Alexander Hernandez of Springfield is charged with:

At approximately 6:25 a.m. Luis Clemente, Carlos Collazo & Joselyn Collazo were arrested inside an apartment on the 900 block of Liberty Street.
